  All of our online courses are internet-based. Canvas is our learning management systems (LMS) used for our online courses.
Canvas allows instructors to place course materials on a password-protected site that only students who are registered for the class can access.
Once a student registers for a class, they will be automatically added into the Canvas system within 72 hours. Students are encouraged to complete the Online Course Orientation at https://tech.ivc.edu/student/online-course-orientation before class begins.
The course will become available by the date listed in the Class Schedule, and students will then be able to access the course anytime during the day or night from any computer with an internet connection.
You can access Canvas using the IVC college home page button.
   “Username” is assigned to you within 24 hours after you enroll in your first class. Your username is your first initial, your last name and then an assigned number (such as jsmith47).
Your “password” defaults to your PIN number plus two zeros (if your PIN is 4798 then your default password would be 479800). To find your Username, just log into MySite and look in the header of the home page.
