 FINANCIAL AID
The Financial Aid Office is dedicated to providing students and their families with efficient, courteous and responsible financial services, while complying with all federal, state and college policies. Through our services, students are able to seek funding to pursue their educational goals. We counsel and advise students and families, provide and process information, and coordinate the awarding and delivery of funds.

1. Have financial need (for need-based programs)
2. Have a high school diploma or equivalent
3. Be enrolled as a regular student working towards an eligible degree or
certificate program
4. Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
5. Be making satisfactory academic progress
To apply for financial aid, you must:
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at
https://studentaid.gov/
The FAFSA is used to determine eligibility for all state and federal financial aid. Applying for financial aid requires you to complete the following steps:
1. Complete the FAFSA. Once the IVC Financial Aid Office receives your FAFSA, we will send an email requesting additional documents. The Federal School Code for IVC is 025395. Information on applying for the Community College Promise Grant or California Dream App is below. For Cal Grant and priority funding consideration please complete your FAFSA application by March 2nd.
2. Check MySite Financial Aid to view any missing docs or messages by clicking on the Financial Aid link. The link is also available on the Financial Aid Office website. Please be sure to regularly check your IVC email account.
3. Complete your file. You can find most of the documents needed on the IVC Financial Aid Office Forms page at: financialaid.ivc.edu.
Your eligibility for financial aid cannot be determined until you return all requested documents. Once your file has been reviewed by a financial aid specialist, you will receive an email regarding your financial aid eligibility generally within 2-4 weeks, except during peak processing periods.
