GENERAL INFORMATION:
1. EMERGENCIES –contact Campus Police at (949) 451-5234 or extension
5234 from campus phones at any time, day, or night.
2. Campus Police Officers are responsible for patrolling campus grounds, taking
crime and incident reports, conducting investigations, enforcing all applicable laws and traffic regulations, and providing a safe environment for our students, faculty, staff, and guests. The officers have the same authority as a municipal police officer or county sheriff’s deputy.
3. Campus Safety Escort Service – If you need a safety escort from your classroom to your car or other campus locations, contact Campus Police at (949) 451-5234. They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Students may also use any of the blue pole emergency phones located throughout the campus.
4. College ID Card – Students can get their free college ID cards from Campus Police. ID cards are used on campus for various library, laboratory, printing, and classroom tasks.
5. Lost and Found – Found property is stored at the Campus Police station, which is located in CP 100. Lost property can also be reported at the Campus Police station. You may be required to fill out an information card to confirm your identity to retrieve lost property. Found property is stored for up to 90 days.
6. Live Scan Services – We ae a California Department of Justice approved fingerprinting service provider. We do Live Scan fingerprinting in a secure and confidential environment. No appointments necessary.
EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS INFORMATION During an emergency:
1. Remain in the classroom with your instructor until your class has been
instructed to evacuate.
2. When you hear the alarm, exit the building. A campus official will notify all
students when it is safe to return to the classroom.
In an earthquake:
1. Duck, cover and hold.
2. Do not run out of the building.
3. Stay away from windows or bookcases where objects may fall while indoors. 4. Remain calm and stay with your class and follow your instructor’s instructions. 5. If you are outside, look for an open area and stay away from buildings where
glass or debris may fall.
