Letter from the Principal
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Byrnes High
School. I am very excited about all of the opportunities that our school
has to offer for our students. The faculty and staff are working very
hard to fulfill the school’s and district’s mission of serving every child
every day.
Our student handbook is designed to provide students and families
with the rules and regulations of Byrnes High School, as well as to
provide important information about our extensive instructional
program. Adherence to these rules is essential in maintaining a safe
school environment where students can achieve optimal learning.
Please take the time to familiarize yourself with the contents of this
handbook.
Student engagement in the total school program is an important part of
having a successful and fulfilling high school experience. We offer a
number of co-curricular activities that are designed to meet various
student interests. Whether your interest is in academic clubs and
organizations, the arts, athletics, or JROTC, we have a place for each
student.
All of this is made possible by the dedication and hard work of our
faculty, administrators, coaches, and staff, along with the support of
the District Five Community. We want to ensure that our students
experience success while here as well as in the workplace. At Byrnes
High School we expect excellence in every endeavor! Go Rebels!
