                 Phi Theta Kappa
Founded in 1918, Phi Theta Kappa is the only international honor society of the two-year college, recognizing students for stellar academic success. Designed to recognize and honor scholarship, the Society also focuses on leadership, service, and fellowship. Knowing that four-year institutions are looking for more than just great grades, Phi Theta Kappa provides opportunities for students to be engaged both on campus and in the community, making for a well-rounded student. Ninety-one percent of Phi Theta Kappa members complete their associate degree and/or transfer to a four-year college, so get involved now! Earn a 3.5 cumulative GPA based on 12 college credit (transferable) hours completed at LSC and be enrolled in a minimum of 3 credit hours at LSC-North Harris the semester of induction to open opportunities to apply for over $90 million in scholarships, including $37 million in exclusive Phi Theta Kappa transfer scholarships.
All AAP Chapter members in good standing may wear the stole and tassel at Commencement. Enhanced members may also wear the honor cords that are presented by the advisors.
Chapter meetings are Tuesdays from 12 to 12:30 p.m. in SC208 fall and spring semesters. Contact the advisors for summer meeting dates.

Student Organizations
LSC-North Harris offers many organizations for students interested in service, cultural enrichment, music and the arts, or just fun. There is somewhere for everyone to get involved at North Harris. If you can’t find what you are looking for, you can start your own organization! Contact Kelsey Jackson at kelsey.jackson@lonestar.edu for more information on getting involved or starting a new organization.
Remember to join us for the Involvement Fair each semester to find organizations to join!
Organization leaders have a room with computers, supplies, and workspace in SC 211. Student organization leaders are encouraged to use this space to complete their organization tasks.
The groups on the next several pages are currently active Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) and other student clubs at LSC-North Harris. For further information, visit LoneStar.edu/clubs-nharris.
