COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
ENG 126 Creative Writing II (3-0-3)
Prerequisite: ENG 125
This course is designed as a workshop approach for advancing imaginative and literary
skills. Emphasis is placed on the discussion of style, techniques, and challenges for  rst pub- lications. Upon completion, students should be able to submit a piece of their writing for publication. This course has been approved for transfer under the CAA as a premajor and/or elective course requirement.
ENG 231 American Literature I (3-0-3)
Prerequisite: ENG 112 or ENG 114
This course covers selected works in American literature from its beginnings to 1865. Em-
phasis is placed on historical background, cultural context, and literary analysis of selected prose, poetry, and drama. Upon completion, students should be able to interpret, analyze, and respond to literary works in their historical and cultural contexts. This course has been approved for transfer under the CAA as a general education course in Humanities/Fine Arts.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP
ETR 210 Introduction to Entrepreneurship (3-0-3)
This course provides a survey of the starting and operating of an entrepreneurial venture. Topics include new venture creation, the business plan, economics of the business, determining resource needs and acquiring resources, marketing, technology, leadership skills, and busi- ness ethics. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate an understanding of entrepreneurship concepts and how to use the entrepreneurial mindset to succeed in their careers.
