funded by the U.S. Department of Education and sponsored locally by the University of Texas at
El Paso. UTEP ETS provides college, career, and financial aid information to high school students each year. ETS identifies students who demon- strate an interest or desire to attend college and provides them with the motivation and support to enroll in a program of postsecondary education (college, university, technical or vocational school) after high school graduation.
The Educational Talent Search Program (ETS) as- sists qualified youth, who have the desire and po- tential, to graduate from high school and under- take a program of post-secondary education. ETS provides guidance, access and information on the processes of college admissions, financial aid and scholarships available for post-secondary study. ETS exposes students to the college environment with college visits, cultural enrichment activi-
ties and opportunities for character and leader- ship development. The ETS Program motivates students from Guillen Middle School, Henderson Middle School, Bowie High School and Jefferson High School to complete their education.

The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) recog- nizes the fact that many students face financial difficulty in pursuing a college education — approx- imately 75% of our current students are receiving some form of financial assistance. The financial aid process is not complicated, but it does require effort and planning on the part of the student.
The Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) pro- vides all current and prospective UTEP students with the necessary financial aid information, ad- vising, and timely monetary assistance to support students with the pursuit of a higher education degree. The OSFA strives to help our demo- graphically diverse student population eliminate financial obstacles so that our students may succeed in their academic endeavors and achieve their educational goals.
