                                  Dear Miner(s):
Let me be one of the first to congratulate yourself on the next chapter of your journey in Higher Education. I would like to give you some advice as you continue your college years at UTEP or elsewhere. GET INVOLVED! There is no reason for you to not partake in campus events, and try to take any and every opportunity that comes your way. At UTEP, we have multiple organizations that are specific or broad enough to fit everyone of our students. Go and support our fellow athletes at their games, whether that be football, basketball,
or volleyball.
Your college experience does not have to solely be defined by your academics, I believe that is time wasted. Academics are important, but when you choose to get involved, you alone, can make or break your experience no matter where you are. Also, everyone in their own way, is reaching out to make a connection with someone, it is our duty to reach back. Discover yourself, who you are...and discover others.
Welcome to UTEP and GO MINERS!
P.S. Your student government is here to support you, please feel free to contact us to see how you can get involved today.
