The Academic Advising Center (AAC) is commit- ted to providing accessible opportunity to quality advising for all students upon enrollment at UTEP. The AAC provides personalized holistic advising to students enhancing the pathway to academic and lifelong success. Every student works with an as- signed advisor to develop a personalized academic, financial and engagement plan to facilitate student success and clear pathways to degree completion. Integrating students’ academic, financial, and social realities, the AAC promotes engagement in enrich- ing experiences that align with each student’s interests, aspirations, and commitments.

MINER ATHLETE ACADEMIC CENTER (MAAC) 915.747.5668
The Miner Athlete Academic Center is the academic and eligibility services center for student-athletes on campus. The MAAC provides personalized academic support from admissions through graduation. Every student-athlete works with an assigned advisor to develop a personal- ized academic and engagement plan based on students’ interests, aspirations, and commit-
ments, and create clear pathways to degree completion. The MAAC provides student-athletes holistic academic support services, including one-on-one tutoring and mentoring designed to help student-athletes balance the demands of academics and athletics and navigate a successful college experience.
STUDENT SUCCESS HELP DESK (SSHD)

The Student Success Help Desk (SSHD) is a dedicated centralized resource to help students resolve barriers to persistence and degree completion. The SSHD advisors provide per- sonalized assistance, resources, and support for various academic and administrative challenges such as advising, registration, course availability, and graduation. Additionally, the SSHD has two specific programs designed to support students experiencing financial challenges, personal hard- ship, and basic needs insecurities.
Financial and Social Support Services (FSSS) aids students with financial wellness knowledge, skills, and resources such as FAFSA assistance, understanding and identifying resources to pay for college, creating personalized budget, savings, and credit building plans, and provides general financial and social wellness information.
Foster Homeless Adopted Resources (FHAR) delivers comprehensive academic and social welfare services to UTEP foster youth alumni and students experiencing housing insecurity. FHAR provides personalized resources to program par- ticipants and serves as a source of support along
