                3. Computer Commons: Commons closes fifteen minutes prior to library closing.
4. Front Entrances: Entrances are locked fifteen minutes prior to closing.
5. Loan Periods: When you borrow materials, be sure you understand the regulations governing their use; you are personally responsible for them. Most books circulate for 28 days (iPads for 7 hours) and everything is due during the last week of classes. Items may be renewed one time during the semester as long as no other requests have been received.
6. Non-circulating Material: Reference books, periodicals, and some kinds of non-print material may be used only in the LRC.
7. Reserves: Your instructors place materials on reserve which they want the entire class to use. Please ask at the Front Desk by using your instructor’s name.
8. Conduct: In order to serve you in an orderly manner and provide an atmosphere conducive to collaboration, research, and study, we ask that you consent to:
a. Present your student identification card upon the request of an LRC staff member.
b. Comply with instructions by the LRC staff regarding conduct and space utilization.
c. Enter staff areas only by invitation.
d. Responsibly report disruptive behavior of other LRC users.

Learning Resource Center
The Testing Center provides a secure testing environment for both computerized, paper/pencil based testing. Online, web based testing technology delivers University Accuplacer placement tests for course placement for new students, and BlackBoard tests for Vincennes University courses, both on campus and via Distance Education. Online exams for professional and career certifications are also available through Prometric, Pearson VUE, and Certiport. The Testing Center is a State of Indiana T.A.S.C. (high school equivalency) testing center, serving local and surrounding communities. Proctor services are also available to students from other universities who live in the area and need a secure test facility.
Please call to schedule an appointment for Accuplacer Placement, Class Exams, and Certification Testing. Testing hours are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily, on normal University work days. Must present valid photo identification and know VU Student ID Number (A Number).

The Testing Center offers the following types of tests:
• Accuplacer Computerized Placement Testing
NOTE: You must present valid identification for all testing.
New students and transfer students should take the ACCUPLACER Entry/Placement test prior to their initial class registration. You should do your very best on the Accuplacer placement test. Your test scores will determine your initial classes when you start at VU.
Your placement test is VERY IMPORTANT!
• Professional Certification and other types of testing.
Certification test candidates must comply with additional requirements as mandated by the test sanctioning or governing body in their discipline. Certification candidates must schedule and register with the Testing Center or their test sponsor. No “walk-ins” will be tested.
• SAT Test
The National SAT test is offered at Vincennes University on all national testing dates: For more information go to https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat.
• ACT Test
The National ACT test is offered at Vincennes University on all national testing dates: For more information go to http://www.act.org.
• Indiana High School Equivalency - HiSET (High School Equivalency Test)
The TASC test is administered by appointment, typically two days each week (both sessions required to complete the exam). You MUST pre-register for the exam.
