To encourage collaboration, we offer areas for groups to work with large shared screens. Smart classroom technology is available where students can practice speeches or other presentations while receiving feedback from tutors. All services are offered free of charge to all Vincennes University students, and tutoring begins the second week of classes. The hours of the Knowledge Market are Monday through Thursday from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p,m.HOURS: Monday & Wednesday, 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Tuesday & Thursday, 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Student Success Center

VU’s Student Success Center provides additional advising and student support to students of all majors on the Vincennes campus. In addition, the SSC staff supports advisors at other VU sites. The mission of SSC is to improve VU student persistence and degree/certificate completion. While all VU students will be able to benefit from the Center’s efforts, the SSC’s primary focus will be those who enter VU with the greatest risk of not completing: students who may be undecided about a career path or major and those who need significant remediation.
Student Success Center staff will actively promote student success and selection of career pathways by:
• Providing additional advising to at-risk students, supporting academic advising
• Promoting university-wide programming to help students be more self-aware
• Increasing student participation in campus life
• Contributing proactively to endeavors that support a positive learning community at VU
• Supporting efforts for greater communication among all University stake-holders
Housing and Residential Life

The Housing and Residential Life Office administers services related to students, residence hall staff and residence hall facilities. Areas of concentration are facilities, housing contracts, academic development, social and educational programming, and Residence Hall Government. The office also monitors the Residence Life Conduct System, serving as a referral agent to the Dean of Students and/or Campus Police.
The Office of Housing and Residential Life conducts the selection, training, supervision, and evaluation of Residence Life Staff.
Roommate and Roommate Assignments
Rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis when accompanied by the damage deposit and contract. If, on your housing contract you do not list a choice of roommate, a student of the same sex will be randomly placed in the same room. Go to www.vinu.edu/housing to complete your Housing Contract.
Room changes can be considered after the first two weeks of school. If you and your roommate discover that you are personally incompatible, all parties involved should contact your resident assistant for advice. The resident assistant will contact the Hall Coordinator. Under no circumstances should you make a room change without following this procedure. Unauthorized changes can cause confusion and will not be tolerated. There is a $10 Room Change Fee. Hall changes also can be considered after the first two weeks of school. This process originates with your Hall Coordinator. The student must have the approval of his or her current Hall Coordinator, the approval of the Hall Coordinator to which he or she wishes to move and the approval of the Housing Office. There is a $10 Hall/Room Change fee.

The Dining Services of Vincennes University has worked hard to design a meal program guaranteed to meet your individual needs. You’ve got plenty on your mind: classes, sports, clubs, community service etc., so we’ve made it our goal to make sure that you won’t have to worry about finding something great to eat when you want it.
