It depends. Room changes are not permitted the first two weeks or last two weeks of each semester. After the first two weeks, the room change process opens in MyCoastalHome for residents to submit
a room change request. Those requests are evaluated by the CC before moving forward.
Who do I call if I have an emergency after hours or on the weekend?
In case of a severe medical or safety concern, contact Public Safety at 843.349.2911. Otherwise, there is an RA on call in each community from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. and 24 hours a day on the weekends; the on-call number is posted throughout each community for emergency use. Your 24-hour Community Desks are available, as well.

How are the rooms in University Housing furnished?
Each room comes with a bed, dresser, desk and desk chair. You are given the opportunity to inspect all the furniture at move in and can report wear and tear and damages at that time. Furniture should be left in the same condition at move out.

Do I have control over the temperature in my room?
It depends on where you live. In Eaglin, Ingle, Chanticleer, CINO, Teal and Tradition halls, chiller systems are specifically designed to automatically adjust to conditions inside and outside
      of the building. The Woods, Gardens, and University Place communities are thermostat-controlled with preset standards to limit drastic adjustments.
          How do I request repair or facilities related service in my room?
If there is an issue with your room, you can submit a maintenance request in MyCoastalHome. Be specific in your request about the issue; the more details you provide, the better. If your issue has not been addressed within 48 hours, contact your CC for an update. If you have a facility emergency, contact the on-call RA immediately.
