EMERGENCY ALERTS
When Carl Sandburg College closes for inclement weather or other emergency reasons, students will receive notification via email, phone call and text message to the contact information on file for each student. There will also be a banner across the top of the College website announcing the closure, and information will be shared on the College’s Facebook page and Twitter feed. The College will also share information about closures with local media. When these closures occur, we ask that no one come to campus for any reason. Sandburg has three campus locations; on occasion, one will close but not others. Please pay close attention to the message to ensure you know what campus is closed. Sandburg also uses the same alert system when a class is cancelled. Please read these messages carefully to know which class is cancelled. It is important to keep your contact information updated with the Student Services Office in E100.
