                 Disability Support Services Disability support services provides services and accommodations to students with accessibility needs or disabilities in compliance with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Documentation of the specific disability is required to provide accommodations. Interested students should review our disability support procedures at sandburg.edu/Disability-Support. Disability support services are located at the Galesburg campus. Questions can be directed to the coordinator of academic support services at 309.341.5262. Fitness center The Sandburg fitness center offers a relaxed, exercise environment dedicated to providing health- promoting services to the college community, including helping people develop positive lifestyle habits, learning the principles of fitness and developing both competency and self-efficacy — both of which positively correlate with continued participation throughout one’s lifetime and increase one’s health span. The fitness center is free for all Sandburg students enrolled in at least three credit hours. The fitness center is open to the public through affordable membership rates and serves a diverse population from 16-year olds to senior citizens. It is staffed at all times during hours of operation: 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Thursday 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m.-noon Saturday. Hours are subject to change. Health services The college assumes no responsibility for medical treatment of students and has no facilities or professional staff for emergency treatment of ill or injured students. For emergency and non-emergency medical treatment, students should proceed to the nearest hospital or emergency room. Library The library, located in E230, provides a variety of materials and services to support instructional programs. The collection of books, DVDs, databases, eBooks, audiobooks and video streaming platforms can be used for research or entertainment. CAMPUS SERVICES    President Bill Clinton held a roundtable discussion in the library as part of his visit to Galesburg on Jan. 10, 1995.
