CAMPUS SERVICES 30 MakerSpace Located in the library, you can collaborate and create various posters and craft supplies to be used in class, club or athletic presentations, and you may use the laser cutter, silhouette and 3D printer. All materials are free for students, faculty and staff. Student records Resource room campus food pantries Sandburg students and employees may visit the pantries, located at the Galesburg campus and at the Carthage campus, at no cost to find food items, toiletries (when available) and community service information. The Galesburg campus pantry is open for regular walk-in hours Monday-Friday or by appointment. Sandburg IDs are required upon check-in. To make an appointment or for more information, contact 309.341.5332 or pantry@ sandburg.edu. The Carthage pantry is available to Sandburg students, staff and Hancock County residents at no cost. The pantry is open Monday-Friday during regular business hours. Contact 217.357.3129, ext. 0 for more information. Testing Center To assist students in pursuing their academic goals, the Testing Center provides the following services: Accuplacer Placement testing, TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills), CLEP (College Level Examination Program), HiSet (High School Equivalency Test), CNA (Certified Nurse Aide), online proctored exams and make-up exams. Some of these services are not offered at both campus locations. Due to the variety and volume of testing conducted in the center, make appointments at least 24 hours in advance. Galesburg students benefit from a walk-in and appointment-based tutoring center offering assistance in any core subject area (including English, math, science and basic computer use). Tutoring in professional programs like nursing is arranged by class, by semester; you can contact your instructor or the coordinator of academic support, 309.341.5262, or visit sandburg.edu/tutoring for more information about these services.
