TRiO recognizes that students face unique obstacles that impact their access to education. The TRiO team provides comprehensive, ongoing support services to address institutional barriers and help students navigate individual challenges as they move toward their academic, career, and professional goals. Services include academic planning, career exploration, tutoring, computer lab and study space, scholarship and financial aid application assistance and resources, workshops, events, and more. to student engagement, leadership development, mentorship opportunities, diversity and equity related learning programming, and culturally relevant support services. The Indigenous Student Success and the AANAPISI Program are housed within ODEI as critical and relevant support services dedicated to our Indigenous students, Asian American, Pacific Islander and low-income status students. Additionally, ODEI oversees the Passport to Careers grant which provides comprehensive support services to current or former foster youth, youth experiencing homelessness, and tribal foster youth pursuing higher education. BOOKSTORE The Paper Tree Student Union (SU), Room 140 253-931-3961 The Paper Tree Bookstore carries new and used textbooks, reference books, art, nursing, forestry, engineering supplies, and school supplies. Students can order textbooks and supplies early at papertree. greenriver.edu to provide the convenience of getting them prior to the first day of class. The Paper Tree offers a variety of services from stamps, copies, faxing, laminating, and UPS shipping. Check out our large selection of items available in the convenience store that offers frozen foods, grocery items, breakfast items, soups, sandwiches, beverages, candy, protein bars, ice cream, snacks, and health & beauty items. Green River College clothing and gifts are available in store and online to shout your school pride. Students may sell textbooks they no longer need through the textbook buyback program at the end of each quarter during finals week.
