California State University (CSU)
Minimum Upper Division Transfer Admission Requirements
Completion of the CSU General Education pattern (CSUGE) or Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC)
will fulfill the lower division general education requirements for all CSU campuses. While completion of CSUGE or IGETC is
recommended for most students, it may not be advisable for students in certain majors. Completion of CSUGE/IGETC is not
an admissions eligibility requirement but may be an admission requirement for some campuses and majors. Discuss your
general education and major course planning with a counselor.
Note: These are the minimum admission standards. Many campuses and majors are impacted (more
competitive) and may require a higher GPA and/or completion of specific courses for admission. Consult
university websites, counselors/advisors, and visit Mt. SAC Transfer Services for more information.
