UC Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG)

The UC Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program offers qualified California Community College students guaranteed
admission to one of the six participating UC campuses. Each campus has very specific TAG requirements that you can learn
about on their websites.
TAG Eligibility
You might be eligible for a TAG if you meet these basic requirements in addition to campus/major admission criteria:
• Have earned 30+ UC transferable units at the time of your TAG application.
• Have a UC transferable GPA of 2.8 - 3.4 or higher (This varies by campus and is subject to change each year).
• Will meet campus-specific course requirements and deadlines.
Applying for TAG
Submit a TAG application September 1-30 of the year before your plan to transfer, followed by the UC application November
1–30.

Transfer Admission Planner (TAP)
Students can use the Transfer Admissions Planner to enter their course work (completed and planned) from the very
beginning of their college careers, or at any point when they decide to transfer to a UC campus. With TAP, you can:
• Track your progress toward meeting UC’s minimum requirements.
• Apply for TAG.
• Receive important information for prospective transfers from UC staff.
California Independent Colleges and Universities
California’s fully-accredited independent colleges and universities provide many options at the undergraduate, graduate, and
professional levels for students planning to continue their education beyond the community college. Admission requirements
