Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988. (P.L. 100-690, Title V, Subtitle D; 41 U.S.C. 701 et seq.) This statute requires contractors
and grantees of Federal agencies to certify that they will provide a drug-free workplace. Making this required certification is
a precondition for receiving a contract or grant from a Federal agency. The Federal government has mandated there will be
no drug usage by students, staff or faculty on college campuses anywhere in the United States. Mt. SAC abides by a drug-
free campus policy.
The unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensing, possession, or use of illicit drugs (including medical marijuana) on
College property, in any facility operated by the College, during College-sponsored field trips, activities, or workshops, and in
any College-owned vehicle is prohibited.
Mt. San Antonio College students must, as a condition of enrollment, abide by the terms of the Standards of Conduct (Board
Policy 5500), which includes restrictions on controlled substances, alcoholic beverages, and other intoxicants.
