The Academic Advising Center (AAC) provides holistic advising to all incoming students en- hancing the pathway to academic and lifelong success. Every student works with an assigned advisor to develop a personalized academic, financial and engagement plan designed to cultivate their assets, create clear pathways to degree completion and graduate with a competi- tive edge. Bridging the academic, financial, and
social realities of every UTEP student, the AAC promotes engagement in enriching experiences that align with each student’s interests, aspira- tions, and commitments. In addition, the AAC offers a unique Financial and Social Support Services program designed to educate and empower students through increasing financial literacy and cultivating the skills necessary to make sound financial decisions.

UTEP Athletics is in the midst of an exciting new era! Under the leadership of energetic Director of Athletics Jim Senter, the goal for every Miner team is to compete for and win championships.
The 2021-22 campaign was a banner year for UTEP Athletics. The football team posted its first winning season since 2014, and returned to postseason play. The Miners finished 7-6 and battled Mountain West Conference power Fresno State down to the wire in the New Mexico Bowl. The UTEP volleyball team enjoyed unprecedent- ed success in 2021, seeing the first postseason action in school history. The Miners recorded the best win percentage in school annals (24-8, .750) and advanced to the semifinals of the National
