The Office of Emergency Management’s (OEM) mission is to help protect UTEP by coordinating and integrating all activities necessary to build, sustain, and improve the capability to mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from threat- ened or actual natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or other man–made disasters.
GOAL:
OEM has a goal for a safe campus community by assisting in UTEP’s capacity to manage and mitigate incidents when they occur. These are achieved by risk assessment, hazard analysis, written plans and procedures, training, drills, and exercises.
