The Math Center is operated by degreed professionals that provide assistance to students in a variety of Math courses. A
combination of one-on-one and group tutoring is available via drop-in based tutoring. This a free service to all students!
EXTENDED STUDY

Extended Study provides students with a structured study space that is monitored by knowledgeable peer mentors. Students
can use this space to study independently or in a group. Students can take advantage of this space before, in between, or
after classes for productive study sessions.

The Bakersfield College library can contribute to your academic success. Librarians are available to help with all your research
questions by providing a series of library research workshops, one-on-one reference help, and discipline-specific instruction
through classroom visits. The library’s collection has been developed for your research needs. As a student you have access
to over 80,000 print books and 150,000 e-books.
The library’s databases are available 24/7 and
provide you with academic sources from journals,
magazines and newspapers. No matter what your
research needs may be, the answer is in the library.
Library services also include a reserve collection of
textbooks, group study rooms, study carrels for
individual study, and copiers. Your student photo
I.D. card is your library card and can be used to
check out books and reserve study rooms. Only
currently registered students can check out library materials and access electronic resources. Computers with web access and
Microsoft Office are also available to students in the Computer Commons, housed on the lower level of the Library building.

HABITS OF MIND

On the website or within the BCRenegades Mobile App, you will find information about the Habits of Mind initiative, as well as
resources for students and faculty members. Habits of Mind will show students that through positive habits they can succeed
