American Indian Resource Center (AIRC)
The AIRC is here to assist all students who self-identify as American Indian. The AIRC staff is here from the time you decide to enroll
until you cross the stage to get your diploma. Your educational journey can be greatly enhanced with our culturally appropriate events
and support services. The AIRC offers space and support services to the American Indian students on campus. They are located on
Birchmont Drive and can be reached at 218-755-2032
Career Services
Career Services provide career development guidance and job and internship search services to students and alumni. Career Services
has developed a career planning guide that assists students and parents through the four key steps in successful career planning
which are assess, explore, focus and implement. They are located in Decker 202 and can be reached at 218-755-2038 or at career@
bemidjistate.edu.
Disability Services
This office coordinates services for students who have a documented disability and are registered with the DSO. Based on individual
documented need, services may include adapted course materials, exam accommodations, priority registration, note takers, scribes,
housing accommodations and more. Located in Decker 202.
ITS and Computer Labs
Information Technology Services plans, designs, implements, and supports a broad range of technology used by students, faculty, staff, and
administration at Bemidji State University. The Help Desk is located in Deputy 161 and can be contacted at 218-755-3777.
TRiO SSS
Provides support services to qualified students. Such services include three credit-bearing courses: TRIO/SSS College Orientation
(UNIV 1180), Critical Reading and Analysis (UNIV 1199), Life Career Planning (UNIV 1200); academic advising, tutoring, and
mentoring. They are located in Decker 240, (218) 755-2614.
Veterans Services
Veteran’s Assistance Center can help you navigate the processes and the paperwork, often required to tap into the benefits you’ve earned
by serving our country. They can help determine whether you are eligible for the GI Bill, scholarships, disability services, personal counseling,
tutoring, financial aid, and other college related services. They can also provide assistance to your family. You will also find the center is a
great place to connect with others. The Veteran’s Assistance Center is located at Decker Hall room 10 or call 218-208-7544.
Health and Counseling Center
The Student Center for Health and Counseling is a comprehensive and integrated health care facility includes both health and
counseling services. We provide students with access to primary health care, ongoing health maintenance, information about health
care and disease prevention, individualized person counseling, group therapy, and a host of outreach health education services. We
also provide services for faculty and staff in the areas of consultation and outreach programming. The integrated approach toward
health care allows our staff to interact on a daily basis about individual needs of students and how we can best meet their needs. We
are located in Cedar, on Birchmont Drive.
McNair Scholars
The McNair Scholars Program aims to successfully prepare Bemidji State University undergraduates for entrance into graduate school. The
program provides a challenging and supportive environment that is conducive to learning and personal/professional development. They are
located in Decker 240, (218) 755-2614.
