Message from the
Vice President for
Student Affairs
Now that the 2015-2016 academic year has officially begun, the Division
of Student Affairs would like to extend a warm welcome to all of our
new students. And to all our returning students we say, “Welcome
back!” We hope your summer was refreshing and that you are ready
to dive into an exciting and rewarding year with the rest of your Owl
family.
Our mission in Student Affairs is to provide programs, services and
facilities to promote academic success and student development, both
within and beyond the classroom. We are committed to providing a
range of opportunities for personal, social and civic engagement.
We encourage you to take advantage of the many services and activities
available to enrich your college journey, from academics to social and
cultural experiences. Every staff member in Student Affairs works hard
to make sure you get the most out of your time here at the University,
and we welcome every opportunity to partner with you in making that
happen.
In this handbook, you will find descriptions of the programs, events
and other engagement opportunities available here at FAU. As we
like to say in Student Affairs, we are all about students, and it is our
privilege to help make your college experience as rich and meaningful
as it should be. I look forward to congratulating you at graduation!
GO OWLS!
Corey A. King, Ed.D.
