The Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs maintains open communication and
a collaborative working relationship with students, faculty, staff and administration.
The vice president is the chief administrative officer for Student Affairs throughout the
University.
Dean of Students

The Dean of Students Office offers assistance with academic matters, leadership and
student development opportunities through individual advising. Through this office,
a student can receive assistance and/or referrals when an extenuating circumstance
prevents him or her from succeeding academically.

The mission of Campus Recreation is to enhance the quality of life of the Florida Atlantic
University community by encouraging active and balanced lifestyles and to facilitate
student learning through participation in Campus Recreation programs, services and
facilities. All facilities and programs are available to FAU students with a valid Owl
Card and also to Campus Recreation members.
Career Development Center

FAU’s Career Development Center assists all Florida Atlantic University students
with their career development needs from freshman year through graduation. Career
development is an ongoing process that begins with self-assessment, exploration and
research, as well as experiential learning (internships/Co-ops) which prepares students
for entering the workforce or graduate/professional school. The center provides
assistance with career decision-making and job search preparation. Services include
same day advising, career counseling, professional mentor program and online career
planning and job search tools.
