Welcome to one of the most
beautiful universities in the nation! My name is
Kathryn Edmunds and I have the privilege of
serving as your Student Body President. There has never been a better
time to join the FAU family than right now. Welcome home!
As the most diverse university in the state of Florida, FAU gives you the
unique opportunity to meet people from all walks of life. The memories
made here will be ones that you’ll cherish for the rest of your life, so get
ready!
Your time here at FAU will go by faster than you can imagine and
before you know it, graduation will be around the corner. I highly
encourage you to get involved with our one-of-a-kind traditions, join
one of our over 300 organizations on campus, and attend all of our
athletics events as they are, in fact, my personal favorite! With all of the
opportunities FAU has to offer, you can truly find your “home away
from home” quite quickly.
Student Government is here for you. One of the best ways to get started
is to join our House of Representatives. It’s a great way to learn what
we have to offer, as well as meet other students who want to make an
impact here at FAU!
The experience that you want to take from these next few years is
in your hands alone now. Take advantage of the great lessons and
opportunities FAU has to offer. The best years of your life are ahead of
you so have fun and be smart. Don’t forget that obtaining a diploma is
our number one goal! If you ever should have any questions, please feel
