FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Financial aid is available to eligible students in the form of grants, scholarships, loans, and student employment. Financial assistance is used to pay for education expenses, i.e., tuition, books, transportation, living expenses, and other related costs. Resources are listed on Green River’s Pay for College web page.

Students apply for financial aid each year by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WASFA) starting on October 1st.
The Financial Aid team is available to assist students with completing their applications. In addition, students can check their financial aid status in ctcLink, including any required action items.
Students are encouraged to apply and complete all action items by the priority processing date to ensure timely funding.
The Financial Aid office’s hours of operation and priority processing dates can be found at greenriver.edu/financialaid.
GREEN RIVER COLLEGE FOUNDATION

The Green River College Foundation is a fundraising nonprofit that’s purpose is to assist the college and students by providing the funds to level the playing field, increase access to a college education, and eliminate money as a reason to leave Green River College. The Foundation awards a total of 350+ Scholarship to GRC Students (application windows are in the Spring and Fall), assists students with financial needs through the Gator Pledge, and has programs to recognize Staff, Faculty and Alumni.
VOLUNTEER SERVICES PROGRAM

Both students and community volunteers are utilized throughout the college in positions that include student tutors, math tutors, science lab assistants, readers for court reporting, computer assistance, ceramic class assistance and office help. The hours are flexible, and the experiences are rewarding.

A variety of outside academic and merit-based scholarships are available through local community organizations and online search engines, such as WashBoard.org. To process a scholarship, students should notify the Financial Aid Office when they receive an outside scholarship.
