Severe Weather
• Listen for alerts and monitor campus displays.
• Monitor local TV or radio stations (KTRH 740 AM or KUHF 88.7
FM) for emergency updates.
• Stay away from windows, doors, and openings.
• Move away from low-lying areas, as requested.
• Evacuate immediately, if advised.
• Do not return to affected areas until it is safe.
Power Failure
• Provide assistance to others, if necessary.
• Move cautiously to a lighted area. Exits may be indicated by
lighted signs.
• Turn off lights and unplug electrical equipment.
• Stay away from downed power lines and broken tree limbs.
• If trapped in an elevator, activate call button for emergency assistance.

STUDENT CONDUCT
At LSC-North Harris, we have high expectations of our students. Faculty
and staff members have full authority to set reasonable standards of
conduct that are acceptable in their classrooms and on campus. These
include, but are not limited to the following.
Academic Dishonesty
Cheating, stealing, misuse of educational materials, and plagiarism are
all examples of academic dishonesty and will not be tolerated. College
students are expected to maintain a high code of ethics.
Use of Personal Technology Devices
Unless otherwise given permission by your instructor, all cell phones
iPads, laptop computers, and other personal electronic devices must be
turned off and placed out of sight. Personal electronic devices of any
kind are not allowed once class has begun.
Behavior
Use of inappropriate language and/or profanity will not be tolerated in
the classroom or anywhere on campus. Disrespectful verbal or physical
acts toward faculty, staff, or classmates will not be tolerated.
Dress Code
Students are expected to dress and groom themselves in an
appropriate manner while on campus or while participating in college-
