The goal of TRiO Student Support Services (SSS) is to increase college
retention and graduation rates of participating students. TRiO SSS
provides opportunities for academic development, assists students with
basic college requirements, and motivates students toward successful
graduation and/or transfer to a four-year university.
TRiO SSS provides the following free services for LSC-North Harris
students in the program:
• One-on-One and Group Academic Coaching
• Online and Face-to-Face Academic Workshops
• Academic Support and Resources
• Assistance in Course Selection and Priority Registration
• Financial Aid Literacy Workshops and FAFSA Assistance
• Career Exploration
• Campus Visits to Four-Year Universities
• Transfer Admissions Application Assistance
• Grant and Scholarship Opportunities
• Cultural Events
TRiO SSS is a federally funded program by the U.S. Department of
Education. Students must apply and complete an orientation for
