ESOL means English for Speakers of Other Languages, also known as
ESL (English as a Second Language). The ESOL Center is dedicated to
serving students who come to LSC-North Harris to learn more English.
ESOL Center services include orientation, applications, testing,
advising, and registration.
LSC is committed to providing quality and friendly services to all
international students enrolled at our campuses. LSC-North Harris has
an International Student Advisor to assist students with their
International Student application, evidence of financial support, proof of
English proficiency, and evidence of high school graduation or college-
level work. This person is the primary resource for international students
with questions about admissions, academics, maintaining status,
medical insurance, and other advising needs.

Hours of Operation for Veterans Student Center are:
Monday-Thursday
8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Friday
8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Advising hours may vary. During the summer term, the Veterans
Student Center is closed on Fridays.
The Veterans Student Center provides support for veterans, active
military members, and their immediate family members. The Veterans
Student Center provides the following services:
• Computer usage for veteran students
• Information about educational services, medical services,
housing, child care, and other support services for veterans.

The Career & Transfer Center/CAST Lab is your destination for career
services assistance and advising related to transferring to a university.
The center and its staff can help you with career exploration, explore
your transfer options, and guide you through the process of applying
and transferring to a four-year university. Services include:
• Exploring and planning a career path
• Writing a resume and cover letter
• Developing a job search plan
• Practicing interviewing for a job
• University transfer literature, including brochures, transfer guides,
fliers, and other information
• Guidance with accessing and understanding the most current
university degree plans
