Trigger Warning: Sexual Violence. The Tennessee Board of Regents
and Northeast State’s policy on sexual assault and harassment defines
the following behaviors as Sexual Misconduct (NeSCC Policy
03:01:08):
Dating Violence – violence against a person when the involved
individuals are dating, have dated, or have or had a sexual
relationship.
Domestic Violence – violence against a person when the involved
parties are current or former spouses, live together or have lived
together, are related by blood or adoption, are related or were
formally related by marriage, or are adult or minor children of a
person in a relationship described above.
Sexual Assault – the non-consensual sexual contact between two
parties or when force or coercion is used to accomplish the act, or
when there is a lack of consent.
Stalking – a willful course of conduct involving repeated or
continuing harassment of another individual that would cause a
reasonable person to feel terrorized, frightened, intimidated,
threatened, harassed, or molested.
