Academic Calendar - The Victor Valley College Academic Calendar is the master schedule of instruction days, holidays, and special deadline dates related to admission, registration, and some college activities. The calendar is developed, and board approved each year, based upon requirements of the California Community Chancellor's Office and local needs. It can be found in the calendar section of this handbook or https://www.vvc.edu/academic-calendar
Adding a Class – Add/Authorization Codes are required to register for a class once the semester has begun. You may obtain an Add Code from the instructor of the course you wish to add if room is available. Once you have your Add Code you may add the class online via Navigate. There is a video on the A&R webpage. https://www.vvc.edu/register
ADT (Associate Degree for Transfer) - VVC has several ADT agreements with CSU. Students who meet the CSU’s minimum eligibility requirements are guaranteed priority admission to a CSU campus, though not necessarily to a particular campus or major. Please visit the Transfer Center in Bldg. 23 for more info.
ASB Card - Students can get their ASB card upstairs in the SAC. An ASB card allows you to ride the
Attendance - Students have the responsibility to attend classes regularly. If you do not attend the first class meeting, you may be dropped from the class. When you will be or have been absent, you should explain the absence to your instructor. However, it is your responsibility to officially drop any class you stop attending. Check with your counselor or Financial Aid before dropping a class as it can affect your Standards of Academic Progress and/or funding.
Bursar’s Office – Located in the One Stop (Bldg. 23), the Bursar’s office handles student accounts: course fee payments and refunds, payment plans, Bank Mobile inquiries, and other fee-related services.
Canvas – An online system for teaching and learning. Students access course content, connect with instructors and classmates, and manage assignments using their canvas shell. For canvas support please contact Ext. 2784
VVTA Fixed and County Route buses for free. You also get free admission
to dance, music, theater, and athletic events. ASB card holders are eligible to compete for Associated Student awards, scholarships, and to hold office in student
government.
