Credit/Unit - The measure of college credit given for a course. The California State Education Code defines one credit as approximately one hour of class plus two hours of study per week, or three hours of laboratory per week, carried through the term.
Dropping a Class or Withdrawal from a Class - Drops or withdrawals must be done online via Navigate within published deadlines. A student may drop or withdraw, or be dropped by an instructor, only before the Withdrawal deadline. The instructor must issue a grade for all students enrolled after the withdrawal deadline. You are responsible for dropping any classes you don’t plan to attend by the refund deadline (see Academic Calendar) to be eligible for a refund. If classes are not dropped, you will be responsible for the fees.
Graduation - Spring 2023 Commencement will be June 13, 2023. Graduation petitions are required by the deadline in order to confirm completion of your degree/certificate; visit with a counselor at least one semester prior to your anticipated graduation. www.vvc.edu/graduation-commencement
Honors - The President’s List (4.0), the Dean’s List (3.50 – 3.99), and the Honor Roll (3.0 – 3.49) are marks of superior academic achievement and high grade point average. Students with a 3.5 G.P.A. are eligible to join Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society www.vvc.edu/phi-theta-kappa

Navigate - Navigate is the application you can use to register for classes, check your class schedule, grades, view holds, pay your fees, check your Financial Aid status, and more. To access Navigate, go to http://www.VVC.edu/, Select MyVVC at the top of the page, Log in using your current WebAdvisor username and password, select “Navigate” from the icon menu.
NetTutor - There is 24/7 online tutoring available through Net Tutor which requires you to set up an account in CANVAS. Go to www.vvc.edu and you will see the link for CANVAS located under the Quick Links tab on our Webpage.
