110 Union Street, Phone: x5204 Open 24 hours
This house was donated to the College by Dacie Moses, a woman much loved
by the Carleton student body. In the tradition of hospitality, everyone is
welcome to stop by and bake, but dishes must be cleaned and baked goods left
in the house for everyone to enjoy. Since 1950, Dacie’s has been the home of
the Singing Knights and more recently the Knightingales. The house provides a
space for study, games, conversation, etc. The house maintains a tradition of no
alcohol, drugs, or tobacco and relies on students’ goodwill, kindness, and care.
The house residents provide a Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. - Noon. Watch for
other events as advertised. There is also a reasonably priced guestroom available
and can be booked at
