Security Services is staffed 24 hours a day and works with local law
enforcement to protect persons and property in the college community. Thefts,
vandalism, suspicious activity, etc. should be reported immediately to Security.
Security Officers are available to conduct on-campus escorts 24 hours a day,
seven days a week. CarlALERT is the College’s Emergency Notification

The purpose of the Student Activities Office (SAO) is to develop and coordinate
a variety of social, recreational, cultural, and developmental programs and
services. In conjunction with the Student Activities Programming Board (SAPB)
and the Carleton Student Association (CSA), we offer and support programs and
services designed to challenge beliefs, educate others, inspire the individual,
entertain the soul, and create a sense of campus community and pride.
Some of the programs and services coordinated by the Student Activities Office
include:

Advising and support for student organizations including CSA, SAPB,
The Cave, SUMO, KRLX, CANOE, and Carleton’s Academic Teams
(Model UN, Mock Trial, Forensics/Debate)

Sponsorship/co-sponsorship of major campus traditions and one-time
events such as New Student Week, Midwinter Ball, Spring Concert,
