Student Financial Services provides information and advice relating to financing
your Carleton College education. SFS staff is available to provide information
and answer questions regarding grants, scholarships, loan options, and student
employment.
Student Health and Counseling (SHAC)

Provides health and counseling services for all enrolled Carleton students.
Confidential, short-term counseling is available regarding a wide array of issues,
including low mood, stress/anxiety, eating concerns, interpersonal relationships,
sexuality, and managing academic pressure. 24/7/365 Phone Counseling with
licensed counselors is available by calling (855) 705-2479. Medical services at
SHAC include evaluation and treatment for acute illnesses and injuries, sexual
and reproductive health (including birth control education and prescriptions, STI
testing/treatment), lab services: on-site testing for strep, mono, pregnancy, HIV,
UTI and drawing blood for tests done off campus. There is a small dispensary of
commonly used OTC and prescription medications. Care can be accessed by
scheduling an appointment online (go.carleton.edu/mySHAC), by phone (507-
222-4080), by visiting the reception desk to request same-day or walk-in (based
on provider availability), or requesting a same-day phone consultation. SHAC
medical and counseling staff collaborate to care for students dealing with eating
disorders, depression, anxiety, sexual assault and abuse, stress, sleep problems
and more.
SHAC refers students to other health professionals in the Northfield community
as needed. There is no charge to students for any on-campus health or
counseling office visit. However, there are charges for medications, lab tests and
off-campus medical care.

TRIO/SSS assists eligible student participants with a variety of academic,
personal, social, cultural, financial, and other challenges to fully participate in
the life of the college and to achieve the goal of graduation. The program is
