Books, magazines, and other items such as eBooks and audio
recordings are checked out for a period of two weeks and may be
renewed once, unless there is a request for the item.

Reference books may be checked out overnight at the end of the
school day and should be returned before first period the next school
day.

Library materials should be returned to the Book Return box near
the circulation desk by the date shown on the inside of the book.

The overdue fine for library materials checked out for a period of
two weeks is 10 cents per school day, and the overdue fine for
reference books is $1.00 per school day.
Printed report cards may be withheld from students who have fines or
overdue library materials. Students with fines or overdue library
materials cannot check out or reserve library materials. Notices of fines
and overdue library materials will be sent to students at regular
intervals. Failure to receive an overdue notice does not relieve students
of the responsibility of paying the fine.

Library materials checked out to a student become the responsibility
of that student under all circumstances. Students are expected to take
care of library materials and pay for lost or damaged materials.
10.To avoid tripping hazards, book bags should be left in the classroom
or placed in the designated areas near the media center entrances.
11.Students who have a signed AUP permission form on file may use
computers for school assignments. Students may not access personal
email accounts.
12.The media center charges for copying or printing as follows:
10 cents per copy for copying at the coin-operated photocopier
10 cents per sheet for printing from the black & white printer
25 cents per sheet for printing from the color printer
13.The media center provides an environment for reading and research.
The same rules of discipline apply in the media center as in classes.
Rules include:
No conversations outside of academic pursuits
No food or drinks
Respect library materials and furniture
14.The library sponsors an annual reading competition and monthly
book discussion program, as well as other contests and events
throughout the year. Listen for announcements, and visit Mrs. Gregory
