Student Activities
Vincennes University Jasper Campus supports a wide range of student clubs and
organizations that make substantial contributions to the social and academic life on campus.
The University grants official recognition to those groups whose purpose, goals, and programs
are consistent with the educational mission of Vincennes University Jasper Campus. This
campus welcomes opportunities to learn and develop outside the traditional classroom. The
role of the Student Activities Office supports the institutional objective to provide a campus
environment conducive to personal development. Students may pursue special interests,
develop leadership, and find social expression and membership in various organizations and
activities. Additionally, students may participate in intramural athletic teams with equipment
and facilities provided for individual recreation in the Ruxer Student Center.
The Student Activities Office has current information regarding all student activities and
involvement opportunities in addition to policies and procedures that govern all student clubs
and organizations. The Student Activities Guidebook contains information on registering and
starting clubs, event planning procedures, and forms for organizations. The Student Activities
Guidebook is available on the VUJC website or in the Student Activities Office in the
Administration Building. The Student Activities Office encourages student participation and
development in all aspects of involvement at Vincennes University Jasper Campus.
Bookstore
Located in the Administration Building the campus bookstore is where you will find all your
school supplies and textbooks. Be sure to check out our textbook rental program as well as
digital textbooks. The Bookstore is the Official source for Vincennes University apparel,
mugs, hats and many items with the VU logo. The bookstore will accept cash, checks,
MasterCard, Visa, or Discover for bookstore purchases.
Library
1.User Permission: Any student enrolled at Vincennes University may check out materials by
presenting his/her student identification card, or by providing his/her student A number.
2. Lending Services (812.481.5910): The Circulation Desk and library computer lab close
fifteen minutes prior to library closing.
3. Loan Periods: When you borrow materials, be sure you understand the regulations
governing their use; you are personally responsible for them. Books circulate for 21 days.
They may be renewed for an additional 21 days, or until the end of the semester, whichever
comes first.
4.Conduct: In order to serve you in an orderly manner and provide an atmosphere conducive
to research and study, we ask that you consent to:
a. Present your student identification card upon request of a Library staff member.
b. Allow the inspection of your belongings at the exit, as needed, to insure proper loan
of materials.
c. Comply with instructions by the Library staff regarding conduct and space
utilization.
d. Enter staff areas by invitation only.
