Spring LEAD! Series – The LEAD! Series is designed to help
leaders enhance their understanding of leadership through the
exploration of 5 key practices of effective leaders. Students who
complete both sessions and read the assigned book earn a
leadership certificate. Sessions are March 2 and March 23 from
11:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. in Student Center 200.

Advanced Leadership Certificate – Students who earn leadership
certificates from the Fall LEAD! Retreat and Spring LEAD!
Series, along with 20 hours of community service and a 2-page
reflection paper, earn an Advanced Leadership Certificate.

Rising Stars Banquet – Student Life hosts this annual celebration
of student leadership and excellence. The event is by invitation
only, and is hosted off campus with a semi-formal banquet and
presentation of awards. This year’s event is Thursday, April 19.
Student Government Association
The Student Government Association (SGA) serves as a formal channel
of communication for the student body. As a liaison among student
organizations and between the student body and college administrators,
SGA seeks feedback and works to find solutions to campus issues.
General meetings are attended by representatives of student
organizations, but are open to all students from LSC-North Harris.
Several officer positions are selected by the SGA, including President,
Vice President, Secretary, Parliamentarian, A-Team President, Night
School Representative, Greenspoint Center Representatives, and

A-Team
The A-Team is the college’s programming board, a group of student
volunteers who select, plan, and coordinate student events on campus.
Any LSC-North Harris student interested in getting involved in planning

Student Ambassadors are leaders who represent Lone Star College-

Phi Theta Kappa is the only international honor society of the two-year
