The Office of Diversity Initiatives was established to support and
facilitate cultural opportunities for students by upholding the campus as
a welcoming and inclusive learning environment. This office leads a
variety of programs that promote respect and valued experiences for all
individuals in efforts to build cultural competence, awareness, and
expression. Programs include:
• Monthly Celebrations (i.e. Hispanic Heritage Month, Native
American Heritage Month, Black History Month, Women’s History
Month, and Asian/Pacific Islander Month)
• Diversity Speaker Series
• Leadership Conferences
• Community Involvement
The Women’s Resource Center (WRC) provides the following services
for LSC-North Harris students to increase their personal productivity and
student success goals:
• Chit Chat & Chew Workshops
• Study Coves and Cubicles
• Large Study Area and Lounge
• Computer and Printing Services (charges apply for printing)
• Book/DVD Media Library
• Agency Referrals & Community Resource Bulletin Board
• Private Lactation Room and Changing Room
• Feminine Products
• Grocery Coupons
• Microwave and Refrigerator

STUDENT ID CARDS
Photo student ID cards are available to all tuition and fee paying
students at LSC-North Harris. Student ID cards are needed to access a
number of college services, including the Learning Center, Student
Center, Health & Wellness facilities, and campus events. It also serves
as your library card (library account number and barcode are on the
back of the card). Failure to present your ID card may prevent you from
gaining access to events and utilizing college services, so be sure you
carry it with you.
To obtain your student ID card, you will need a verification slip from the
Business Office, which you will present along with your driver’s license
at the Circulation Desk on the second floor of the Library. Make sure
you look nice for your picture!

Your first student ID is provided at no
cost. There is a $10 replacement fee for lost, stolen, or damaged cards.
