Student Code of Conduct
FAU’s Student Code of Conduct promotes a safe and secure University community
of civility, integrity and student learning and development. The code also promotes
responsible, healthy behavior and provides fairness in the student conduct process.
Students are educated about their rights and responsibilities as University community
members and are supported during these experiences in an effort to foster maturity,
independence, confidence and life-long learning skills.
Student accountability and personal responsibility are upheld through FAU’s Student
Code of Conduct. The code outlines both the expectations for behavior and the
procedures for handling violations of the conduct code. Students who participate in
the operation of the Student Code of Conduct are offered educational and leadership
opportunities. An educational and holistic approach to student conduct is employed
whenever possible.
