FAU’s Weppner Center for Service-Learning and Civic Responsibility (WCSLCR) works
to empower students to be active citizens through sustainable curricular and co-curricular
service-learning opportunities in reciprocity with the global community. The vision of the
WCSLCR is to be a premier center focused on developing civically responsible students.
The WCSLCR assists both local and national nonprofit organizations by providing them
with the volunteers needed to accomplish their goals. Students Advocating Volunteer
Involvement (SAVI), a student government organization, aids the WCSLCR in providing
student co-curricular service-learning opportunities across the University community.

Broward Campus Life enhances the overall educational experiences of students by
providing purposeful and holistic programs and services that promote learning and
development. Relevant and desirable outcomes include: knowledge acquisition,
intrapersonal development, interpersonal competence, humanitarianism and civic
engagement and practical competence. Campus Life for the Davie campus, the Fort
Lauderdale and the Dania Beach Research Center are coordinated through the above
Davie campus Student Affairs offices.
Campus Life, Jupiter Campus

The Division of Student Affairs facilitates student learning and development by providing
opportunities that enrich the educational experience of all students on the Jupiter campus.
The Student Services Office, located in SR 139, provides a range of services and programs
that support and enhance students’ learning environments. They include: the Burrow
Activity Center; Career Development Services; Counseling and Psychological Services;
Diversity Student Services, including Disabled Student Services, International Student
Services and Multicultural Affairs; Health and Wellness Services (details can be found
in this section under Student Health Services, Jupiter Campus); Learning Resource
Center; Orientation; Recreation; Student Government; Student Life, including 40 student
organizations; and Testing Services.
