Academic Coaching and Career Enhancement for Student Success
(ACCESS) Program (www.fau.edu/access)
The ACCESS Program and coaching center is a branch of University Advising Services
(UAS) and provides selected students with academic coaching/advising, tutoring and
major/career counseling. Services include regular meetings with an ACCESS academic
coach/advisor to review progress in their courses; participation in time-management,
study skills, test taking and goal setting workshops conducted by ACCESS academic
coaches/advisors; tutoring in courses that students previously failed or in other
historically difficult courses students are taking for the first time; participation in faculty
advising/mentoring sessions and career workshops; and enrollment in SLS 1301: Career
and Life Planning, designed for students with major and career indecision.
