NORTH IDAHO COLLEGE (ASNIC)
ASNIC
Pronounced [Az-nik] is the Associated Students of North Idaho College, all students who pay fees are
members of ASNIC and are eligible to participate with all ASNIC programs listed below.
ASNIC STUDENT GOVERNMENT

ASNIC student government board consists of President, Vice President and eight Senators. They are
advised by Heather Erikson, Asst. Director of Student Development.
Through our leadership we ascertain, present, and resolve student concerns; seek out opportunities
for improvement within and without the college; provide resources; and enhance student life and the
community around us. Students who serve on the ASNIC board receive a monthly stipend ($$),
leadership training, valuable experience, and a major resume boost!
Student government is made up of an eight-member senate. The senate (called the Student Board) is
presided over by the ASNIC President. Meetings are held monthly on the fourth Tuesday of every
month in the Student Union Building. Students, faculty, and staff are welcome and encouraged to
attend

ASNIC CLUBS
Over 30 clubs are established at NIC so you are bound to find one you like… if not, start your own!
Each club receives start-up money from ASNIC and funds are available to help clubs with projects,
adventures, and more!

stop by the ASNIC office on the second floor of the SUB.

As the events programming board of ASNIC, Student Events is responsible for programming
concerts, comedians, lectures, movies, and numerous other activities for NIC students and the
campus community. Student Events is comprised of several student stipend positions, volunteer team
