North Idaho College Career Services provides high quality, responsive career counseling, resources,
and education to students, prospective students, and alumni, to help ensure that their education is
purposeful, to assist them in choosing and achieving meaningful career and life goals, and to increase
their lifelong opportunities for success.
A variety of resources are offered for you in Career Services here at North Idaho College. These
services are designed to help you discover the career that is just right for you. Learn about your
interests, abilities and skills, values, personality, and preferred job characteristics. Then receive help
exploring the vast array of career information. Finally, we offer assistance with job search skills such
as resume preparation and interviewing, as well as a variety of job listing resources, so you can find

TRIO STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES

Student Support Services (SSS) program provides support services to first-generation, low-income,
and disabled students who plan to graduate from NIC and transfer to a four-year college or university.
Support is offered through academic planning, workshops, referral services, individualized tutoring,
scholarship searches, college visitations, cultural events, computer lab, and academic program
advising.
CAREER-TECHNICAL STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES

Career Technical and occupational programs provide hands-on training in specialized skills that are
designed to connect with employment opportunities. Certain programs have limited capacity,
additional admission requirements, and deadlines. Career Technical Student Support Services works
with prospective and current technical students to connect them with the proper resources to identify
and succeed in their chosen curriculum. Students considering professional-technical training should
meet with the Career Technical Student Support Coordinator or the Career Technical Advisor for
assistance in assessing program choice, eligibility, educational plans, and entry into programs.

The Admissions Office is responsible for admitting students to NIC and changing students from non-
degree status to degree seeking status. The Admissions Office is also responsible for evaluating
external transcripts and determining residency status for tuition paying purposes.
