If you are enrolled in one or more credits, you are covered by the Student Accident Policy. This policy
covers accidents that may occur on NIC property (including Outreach Centers) or campus-sponsored
events. If an accident occurs, a report should be completed within 72 hours. Student accident report
forms are available online at
or in the Student Health Services office.
Claims for an incident must be filed within 90 days of initial treatment in the Vice President for Student
Services office.
LIBRARY

The library staff enthusiastically supports North Idaho College’s educational mission, to encourage
independent, lifelong learning, by helping students develop the confidence to find, evaluate, and
utilize information. To enhance NIC’s diverse curriculum, Molstead Library houses over 80,000 print
titles, thousands of DVDs and CDs, magazines and newspapers, and a large collection of e-books, e-
journal articles and streaming videos accessible through the library’s many databases. WiFi access,
fax, scan, printing, and photocopy services are also available in the library.
The library reference staff is happy to assist you in your own research, or to instruct you in the
research process. Let us save you valuable time by sharing our experience with catalogs, databases,
the Internet, and scholarly information resources.
Come to the Molstead Library to research, study, or simply relax in a quiet, comfortable atmosphere
surrounded by student and faculty artwork. In addition to lounge seating, individual work stations
equipped with Microsoft Office, and study tables; private group study rooms for up to 10 people are
available to students and may be reserved in advance at the Check-Out Desk.
MATH STUDY CENTER

The Math Study Center (MSC) is available to all students enrolled in an NIC math course and is staffed by
our faculty members. Students may obtain daily help with class material on a drop-in basis. A detailed
schedule is posted in the College Skill Center and is also available on the Math Study Center page on
. Availability of instructors varies each semester.
NIC AMERICAN INDIAN STUDENT SUPPORT

The American Indian Student Advisor provides academic advising for Native students, helping you
develop an educational plan and connect to the campus and community support services to help
insure success in achieving your academic goals. The advisor can also assist students in
understanding the processes such as financial aid, any appeal processes for financial or
academic issues, and completing the necessary paperwork that may be required by your respective
tribal funding rules. This is also the point of contact for students who wish to participate in the
American Indian Student Alliance Club.
